My PhD from the Literature and Theatre Studies Department of the Australian National University was awarded in 2009. I have experience as a sessional lecturer and tutor at the Australian National University and have published academic articles about literature and women’s writing, book reviews and a biographical piece for the Australian Dictionary of Biography. My crime fiction manuscript was shortlisted for the ACT Writers Centre HARDCOPY2014 professional development program. In May 2015 I founded Softcopy, an online e-journal for emerging writers, which I edit. I was granted a writing residency at the ACT Writers Centre in July 2015. As a volunteer for The Smith Family’s S2S reading program, I support children to improve their reading skills. I am also an award winning senior executive with over 25 years’ experience achieving results in international, Commonwealth and state settings.
